In the morning, something resembling Nolofinwë slips silently out of Ingoldo's rooms and disappears around the corner. He does not reappear. What emerges is someone completely different, walking with a spring in his step and looking very, very pleased with himself.

This alone is almost worth whatever will happen when the elves catch up with him.
