hearts and flowers and MADE OF WIN

If you get BBC America as part of the On Demand choices in your cable package, they're currently showing a 35-minute preview of the premiere episode of Torchwood. I watched it last night, and I am filled with glee and love. For all of it. It was just...fabulous, and I loved everything about it, and watching even that preview (even though the part ( Read more... )

I saw "Family of Blood" the other day and I'll be surprised if you don't tear up just a bit.

If you want, I can see if I can find the link to the episode and give it to you if you don't want to wait.

I am really, really looking forward to seeing it. And to actually getting around to watching "Human Nature." Heh.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm on dial-up at home, and don't want to watch episodes on my computer at work (for obvious reasons). There will be much squeeing when I *do* watch it, though, I can tell you that!

omg hedgies. In the face of the adorable, I have no recourse but this:

spike-cream cone.

Hedgecone! That's too cute.

The baby hedgies are adorable -- and sort of unbearably poignant at the same time. Poor little guys, trying to snuggle up to a cleaning brush!

Perhaps the brush is this brush?

You'll love Torchwood. LOVE IT. Especially everything (That made no sense, did it?). It is beyond awesome and amazing and I loves it and finally understand what all the hubbub on the internet was about because this show? Is the win.

I have all of S1 on my computer, if you're interested.

No, "especially everything" is a very good description. Because when I was trying to write about all the reasons why I loved what I had seen so much, or explain it to a friend, I just kept getting stuck on ALL OF IT WAS AWESOME GO WATCH.

Which is, you know, true. But not terribly articulate.

It just seems truly fabulous, and I am so looking forward to watching the rest of it.

Thank you for the kind offer on the eps! Unfortunately, I'm on dial-up at home, and don't want to watch episodes on my computer at work (for obvious reasons).

It really does seem like a fabulously fun show -- it seems to hit a bunch of my narrative bulletproof kinks, so I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of it after it premieres.

Also loved the glove. And all the other gadgets scattered around.

(See you Saturday!)

Thanks for the heads up! I'm in a Torchwood Tizzy right now. Last time I checked freakin' BBCA STILL didn't have their listings in place for the 8th, so I'll go check immediately.

Do you think you'll be inspired to write TW fic? I'd just love to see you have a go at Capt. Jack, given how much I love your angsty/smutty CSI-NY fics.

BBCA doesn't seem to put their listings up until about ten days before airdate, which is frustrating -- most other nets do it about two weeks ahead of time.

I think there's a very good possibility I'll be inspired to write TW fic. I'm pretty intimidated by the idea, but I've also been considering the (equally intimidating) idea of writing Who fic. It's scary to think about doing so, but, on the other hand, the show seems like it'll push a lot of my narrative buttons.
