One of the commenters in my last post said it took him 6 weeks to get a passport last summer. The Post Office lady where I sent the application in on the 17th said she thought I would be OK and that the passport would arrive by the time we leave on the 23rd of March. The sun isn't even up yet here but I am so excited I can't sleep. One thing about the net, things can happen fast. We have our airline tickets and hotels confirmed. Last weekend was very nice with Tara. Her mother is really a strong woman. She has raised two kids alone and runs a sort of ranch/farm as well. She is very low key, laughs a lot and has really reached a comfortable spot in her life. Tara says her mom wishes she had a male in her life, more for companionship than anything else. The realtor was very nice. She told me all about the house- most of which I already knew because I had spent time there. The one thing she did say that amazed me was that the "current owner" had moved out of State! She would not tell me where but did say it was "up North". Wow ( Read more... )
