New direction
I got home about 9:00 last night from work, tired and cranky. Rosie was at her boyfriend's and Tara was studying so Suzanne and I sat down with a bottle of wine and solved all of the world's problems. If they would just let Suzanne and I run the world for a week or so...... LOL!!!
One of the things we did talk about was burnout. Suzanne said she is worried about me because I am going so hard so long every day. Even on weekends, that's when I do the large majority of my studying. Suzanne also pointed out that I am making good money so I should enjoy some of it, not wait until I am 70 or 80. She is right about all of that. Soooooo...... I am going to take a trip overseas! My last exam is on 3/22. My first day of classes back here is on 4/3. That is plenty of time! Suzanne is going with me (or rather, to be fair, I am going with her. This was her idea after all.). And where will we go? Italy!!!! Suzanne wants to see Florence, Rome, Pompeii, etc. We spent time on line at Expedia and it looks like we can do airfare, hotels for 10 days and an open train ticket for around 3000 each. Add in another 2000 for food and shopping... I can afford this! Wheeeee!!! That's the problem with being a geek like me. You forget to have fun sometimes.
I need to get a passport and will apply today. We are going to ask Tara and Rosie if they want to go but Suzanne doesn't think they will come-- Rosie because she is in love (we both think she will move out soon, she spends most of her free time at his place anyway) and Tara because of the cost. OMG, this is wonderful!!
Must see items: The Coliseum, Pompeii, art museums in Florence, St. Peter's and Vatican City..... and maybe an Italian male or female to play with.
More as this develops but I am so excited!!!!!!!!!
