Mathias Malzieu’s novel The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is currently being made into a feature length animated film. The storyline begins with Little Jack being born on the coldest day of the year -- a day so cold his heart is frozen solid and must be grafted to a little cuckoo-clock in order for him to live.

I actually recently picked up the book for this, (my friend let me borrow it) and I really reccommend the book, too! I can't believe it's being made into a feature length! That's wonderful!~

From what I understand Malzieu is co-directing and since he wrote the book I'm assuming he has very high expectations for the production. The fact that they went on hiatus for a while makes me think he wants to do it right rather than spit something out that is less than wonderful.
