The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart
Mathias Malzieu’s novel The Boy with the Cuckoo-Clock Heart is currently being made into a feature length animated film. The storyline begins with Little Jack being born on the coldest day of the year -- a day so cold his heart is frozen solid and must be grafted to a little cuckoo-clock in order for him to live.
In addition to being an author, Malzieu also happens to be the lead singer of the French group Dionysos who are composing the film's soundtrack. A few years ago they released this delightful music video as a promo featuring a peek at what's to come. Of course it includes plenty of romance and drama and gears and cogs. Personally, I can't wait to view the final product. Enjoy!
