Middle-Eastern Steampunk?

Hi all, long-time lurker, first time poster. I've seen a few exellent Asian-inspired SP outfits and styles here, and I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything in a similar vein but either Ottoman or generally Middle Eastern-inspired? Articles, Photos, Weblinks, whatever you may have :)

The stuff I've seen is all rather traditional with a few embellishments. I have a sketch by a friend of a steampunk camel and rider...and I have a photo I can scan of an honest-to-gods camel and rider with a fully functional Howitzer mounted on said camel and a beautiful saddle rig from which you could likely take design ideas for patterns and such. Let me know if you want either and I will send them to you via LJ message.

In addition to photographs, you might want to look at some of the Orientalist paintings.

Some of it is quite fantasy-based (the 'life in the harem' stuff, mainly), but some is reasonably acurate in its portrayal of street life.

Funny thing is..I'm in the process of designing an Indian inspired steampunk ensemble :) I will post pics when it's complete :D
