Need a bit of help!

I'm having trouble finding some really stand-out, unique pants of some sort for a friend of mine. There aren't too many options that aren't terribly different from regular dress pants or hist. reproductions. I'm hoping to find something similar to these, but in black and white or a more neutral color. He's also looking for jackets/blazers with "

Hot Topic has cool striped pants for girls, I'm not sure if they have a version of the same for guys.

As far as jackets go, perhaps a bit more subtle than he likes but perhaps you could talk some sense into the lad?

Not sure if you noticed it or not, but the website you linked those spiffy red/black striped pants, also has those exact same pants in several other stripe combos. Just a quick glance showed me white/black, grey/black, and brown/black.

No clue on the jackets, though. Good luck with those!

If really strapped for cash, try slightly thinned acrylic paint stripes on solid colored pants. Some tips: after you carefully place and rub down the edges of the masking tape, go over first with matte acrylic medium so that the stripes' edges stay crisp. Then when that dries, apply the color. For the most comfortable wear in warm weather, keep the paint stripes narrow so the fabric can breathe.
Paint also expands your options for fun details and antiquing. And its sufficiently cheap that you feel safe to experiment.
