Maybe we can start a sister group on LJ? Y'think? I'd definitely join - I get very sad when I see all these cool events going on in other states, it'd be fun to maybe start gathering steam (har har - I promise that pun was completely accidental) for something of our own.

Why must it be called Mr_Datchery? From what I can tell, Michigan_Steampunk was not taken, and would be a more intuitive name.

I'm in Kzoo. I make comics that kinda qualify as steamy (http://www.clockworkgame.com) and I dabble in steampunk cosplay. I'd love to get together with other MI-area folks, or just launch a steamy contingent at one of the established cons (ConFusion, in January). I'm planning on cosplaying and bringing a bunch of steamy jewelry to MOtor City Comicon again in the spring, as well.
