I went to Pittsburgh to visit Chris and Jen and discovered that they are basically identical to two of my cousins. Now I'm in Ohio in a house that is just way too fucking fancy (a gorgeous hundred year old Victorian) for anyone in my family to possible own.

nothing going on here. lost power Friday before the storm. just been hiding in the house doing very little while this heat carries on. everything okay with the rest of your family?

I lost power on Friday during the storm and took Anubis over to my folks house (which was probably a bad decision in hindsight) because it was absolutely oppressive in my house this morning. They at least had fans since they had a generator. I bailed out of work this morning because our computers were not cooperating.

Have you gotten an estimate as to when you'll be back up? I know Pepco has been full of fail, apparently.

ours came back about an hour before the storm hit, so I've been lucky. apparently they're working around the clock to get our office back up and running, so I'm hoping another storm unleashes havoc just over our office this evening. :)

I went to a running clinic yesterday and learned plenty.

Today, I tried to put what I learned to use, and realized my calf muscles are too tight to function.
