Trill are a humanoid species from a planet of the same name. Starfleet is the organization I work for. We're a peacekeeping and humanitarian armada, among other things, for the United Federation of Planets.

As for my ex-wife... She did enough to chase me out of Georgia an' into Starfleet.

[ There's a slight chuckle. ] There are. The Federation itself is made up of at least 120 members -- not necessarily worlds, since you've got things like the Andorian Empire, which covers most of a system and not just world -- and 700 colonies.
