Had some stew lamb sitting in the freezer for about a year now. I am the only one in the house that eats lamb, so I kept putting off making it. My grandmother had a simple recipy: add lamb, carrots, peas and onions to Manishevitz barley soup mix. I also added garlic, bay leaf and pepper of course, something Nana would never do on account of spices in general upset her stomach

Yes, I freeze soup too - very useful when I get home from work and want a quick snack, and I often make it while I am cooking another meal too, because it doesn't take much looking after on the hob. The lamb soup you made sounds very comforting as all good soup should be
