I've had my mind elsewhere, working to make things happen, and when they do I will post about them.  I do still check in on occasion to see what's going on.  Many it seems have moved to facebook or somewhere else, but I'm still partial to facebook.

I just feel the need to vent.  The local Asperger's Syndrome org, that sucks up millions in revenue, had a few of its representatives present, one a board member who actually has AS.  His talk said nothing more specific than, "We need to help people with autism."  After all the presentations ended I thought to just introduce myself as a fellow ( Read more... )

I just witnessed the strangest thing.  A creature that looked like an off-color chipmonk approached me, almost menacingly, as I stood in my driveway.  It moved awfully funny, like maybe it had muscle problems.  I thought, poor sick thing, and as I walked away it chased after me.  I could only imagine this thing must be crazy with rabbies, so I just ( Read more... )

After just 4 sessions with me Darius and Chris, 5 and 6, PDD and Asperger's, are graduates of Rick's Academy.  Uncooperative, whining little wrecks who couldn't do anything, they are now behaving like much like ordinary kids their age, showing average and even above average physical ability.  I even use tham now as "assistants," to help me with ( Read more... )

Well finally after 8 months my Autism training program is starting to take off.  I've gotten fantastic results with a mid-spectrum 15yr old in just 3 session.  I'm having much better than typical results with the high-functioning 5-6yr olds I'm working with also.  Ironic, I had only intended to work with older children and adults who are high- ( Read more... )
