Xander knew that the redhead dressed in leather wasn’t his Willow; all it had taken was a touch of her cold, hard skin for him to realize that his beloved Willow was one of the walking dead. And although Xander knew that he should be feeling a range of emotions, which included guilt, grief and anger, he just couldn’t feel anything like that when she laid her cold hand on his warm skin. Her touch excited him in a way that it had never excited him when she had been living. It aroused him and terrified him at the same time. In her eyes that were an odd mixture of green and gold, Xander saw both his own death and the realization of every fantasy that he had ever had about Willow. He just couldn’t resist her, even though he knew that he should. So when she walked out of the Bronze, Xander followed her uncaring that his own death waited him in the alley.
