Despite her earlier rebellion, Willow had gone home and studied like the good girl that she was. She was still mad that everyone thought that she was nothing more than a sensible nerd, but her heart wasn’t in proving a point to her friends. Willow was on the verge of sleep when she heard the soft click of her French doors opening. She sat up in her bed, but before she could reach the lamp, Xander’s voice broke the charged silence.
“It’s me Wills.”
”You scared me,” Willow replied as she reached over for the small lap on the bedside table.
”Leave it off, please,” Xander requested as he moved closer to her.
”Why?”
”Cuz I asked you to.”
”Okay. What’s wrong?”
”Nothing, can’t someone miss their friend?” Xander asked her as he sat down on the bed beside her.
”Sure they can, but they normally call. And I saw you today at school.”
”Are you mad at me?”
”Of course not. It’s just that Oz probably wouldn’t be happy if he knew you were here. Not that I’m saying that you’re doing anything inappropriate or anything, but you know….”Willow trailed off.
”Forget about Oz, Willow,” Xander instructed as he put her hand on his. “You belong to me.”
”Uhm, Xander you’re kind of scaring me,” Willow said as she pulled her hand out from under his.
”Good,” Xander responded as he rolled on top of her.
It wasn’t until his full weight made contact with her body that Willow realized that he was cold to the touch. She had spent years dreaming of the moment when Xander told her that they belong together, but now she was just horrified. She was confused as to how he could have gotten into her bedroom if her body was right in assuming what her mind couldn’t accept. She wasn’t given much time to theorize the hows and the why’s of her situation, as Xander’s sharp teeth nicked the smooth skin of her bottom lip.
”Please,” Willow begged.
“I love to hear you beg, baby,” Xander said with a smirk.
”Please let me go.”
”Not a chance,” Xander replied before his teeth sunk into the column of her neck and he pulled her closer into his deadly embrace.
