It seems that my outlining skills leave something to be desired. Because I frequently underestimate just how many words it's going to take to get through scenes. If I actually divided up my chapters the way that I have them outlined in this story, I think they'd all end up clocking in at around 18,000 words a piece ( Read more... )

I love the Olympics. But I hate that the coverage doesn't start until 8:00 at night. That's prime "spending an hour putting the kid to bed" time! When the London olympics were on, I was desperate to watch the events online but wasn't able to because we were living in a condo at the time and had cable TV through our homeowner's association. Had my follow-up ultrasound this afternoon. And baby is FINE. Not growth-restricted at all. In fact, the doctor said that everything looks so good I will probably be able to stop doing the non-stress tests and biophysical profiles completely unless I go way over-due.

HUGE relief! Seriously...
