Typical of my life as a geek:

After watching the last few episodes of Lost Season 2, I get to go sleep in the computer room at my aunt's house. With a schitzophrenic computer that turns itself on every few hours or so with a series of disconcerting beeps, forcing me to turn the damn thing off again repeatedly.

(4 8 15 16 23 42, anyone? *headdesk

I hate it when computers do that. :p

I know, right? But to make matters worse I'd just finished watching Lost, where the characters have to enter a string of numbers into a computer every 108 minutes or something Very Bad happens. And I had to hit the button to turn the computer off at roughly the same interval. I felt like the show was spilling over into real life disconcertingly (and with annoying beeping noises.)
