Makes me think of similar LotR and HP events in college.  I miss you guys.

I don't know what folks have heard at this point, but Daddy died this morning.  Mom called us as 4:30, and she had just woken up to find that he had stopped breathing.  The good thing is that his pain is finally gone.  After many months and years of almost constant pain, he looked peaceful and calm.  We're thankful for that, even though we are ( Read more... )

As of this weekend, Daddy began refusing to eat, drink, or take his pain medications.  This morning he was vomiting bile, so Momma called an ambulance.  He's staying in the Hospice ward, where they're essentially keeping him comfortable for his last few days.  Doc said he thought it could be as long as a few weeks, but I just don't see how that's ( Read more... )

The end of my month in Raleigh has arrived.  I'm flying back to my husband and my home tomorrow.  I have very mixed feelings about it, and am having a hard time dealing with it.

Daddy's tumor came back and it's terminal.

Our cake baker cancelled on us.  Yesterday.  10 days before the wedding.  She tells me she can't bake the cake as Mom and I are in the car on the way to Wilson to see her.

Mom was cleaning out all our old junky computer parts and ran across the following:

*A brand new, unopened motherboard.  I have no idea what all the letters and numbers on the box mean, but the brand is PC Chips and says FSB333, K7.

*A 128 MB SDRAM memory stick thingie.  Unopened, never used.
