[For some reason, it's reassuring to hear that Cloud will be okay even though he doesn't know if it's true - had he recovered from his mako poisoning yet? That was all Zack could think about, despite the blood running down his arms and who knew where else. He groans, falling down to one knee as the Buster Sword hangs limply from his hand like he can't take standing up anymore.]

[It was painful to watch this, but worse to possibly realize that after what Genesis has told him about what happened to Zack back home in his future, this is very likely what would have happened to him. He's uncertain how to offer any aid in this case and it's almost as painful feeling that useless as it is to watch this happen to Zack.]

[Had Zack not been so distracted with the battle, he would've told Sephiroth to look for the duck. Well, he would've if he knew there was a duck involved at all. Or that Sephiroth was watching in the first place. Oh, dear.]
