Cause I Seem To Be An Angst Whore... anonymous July 18 2009, 04:37:28 UTC
Unkown to Kirk, while at the acadamy, McCoy was raped by an admrial/teacher, someone with thye VIP status.

McCoy never told anyone and now, fast foward about a year into the mission, his attacker is on The Enterprise for some reason, getting the royal treatment because of who he is.

Cue McCoy pulling away from everyone, having nightmares, lots of angst and drama.

Kirk knows somethings wrong, and eventually he finds out the truth - maybe McCoy finally tells him or he walks in on McCoy and the person in question having some sort of argument and he overhears the details.

What happens to the bad guy is up to anon, but I just want lots of hurt and comfort and Kirk offering his best friend/lover support.

James Kirk was, despite some people’s opinion, a genius. Sure, the occasional crack concerning his hair color and sometimes rash decisions came up, but in the end of the day he had wit that wiped the floor with most of Starfleet. Some considered it luck and cleverness, but the people who were just as clever and close knew better. Spock for one. Bones since they first met on board that shuttle.

You’re a sharp son of a bitch aren’t you?

The grungy doctor’s lips had been curled into a smirk that wasn’t quite so sharp or bitter as he said the words. He was watching Kirk sweet talk his way out of an irate looking Officer’s attention when they had been prepared for landing. They were both a little far gone (that was good whiskey) and attracting more attention than either of them wanted. Kirk had immediately flown into fine form, bullshit excuses on his lips with Bones following his lead as if it were second nature ( ... )

It was nearly evening by the time Kirk saw their guest again. They had gone through the tour of his beautiful vessel, a job as captain he always enjoyed. McCoy often scoffed at him, comparing him to a peacock strutting with it’s feathers when he was showing off his ship. It may have been true but damned if he hadn’t nearly died getting where he was now and he sure as hell was proud of his leading lady ( ... )

It was nearly two days into their trip when Kirk began to realize his suspicion that something was out of place was an understatement. Surprisingly enough it was Spock who made him realize the emotions were running deeper than he thought, approaching the captain as they switched shifts with his normal, unreadable expression ( ... )
