Kirk gets very badly hurt on an away mission- so badly hurt that he has to be removed from active duty and sent back down to Earth. McCoy does everything in his power to go with and he returns with Jim. Bones takes Jim home to Georgia and they begin the long and arduous road to rehabilitation.

Would love to see fic that explores the stresses it would put on your relationship to have your best friend/lover as your doctor working on your physical therapy with you, especially when you're bitter about losing your command, your ship, you're in almost constant pain and living with the knowledge that you're never going to be the same again, that right now you're relying on that person completely because he can't possibly function on his own at the moment.

I want Jim to be *permanently disabled* in some shape or form from this, barring him from ever getting back to his post. The story doesn't even have to be about the PT and Jim working to regain his independence if you don't want.

I've started writing something similar already, but it's been put on the back burner for the time being. So it'll be a little bit. When I post it though, I will definitely put you in the notes so you know!

The crew encounters a being that makes each person relive their worst memories/fears.
Everyone is a bit shaken up and disturbed afterwords ( they were able to destroy it or get away from it wtfever)
They innocently share what each experienced, Kirk seems to be the worst but he just makes a joke of it.(say he lost his dick or something)
Over the next week Kirk seems not to be sleeping or eating much and his first officer wants to get to the bottom of it.

(I need Kirk to be experiencing the events of Tarsus IV, or rape, or child abuse, or all and more!)
