West Kingdom 12th Night ideas.

There are a few things I am pondering on, that has my mind in a whir. One just today, when I found out a friend in the West Kingdom is going to be elevated to a Laurel this upcoming 12th Night (go sarahbellem!). I would really like to watch this happen. Regarding the rooms, we are getting the presidential suite for Friday and Saturday nights, so there will be plenty of crash space. :)

Correction: Apparently we're only getting the prez suit for Friday night. But the room rate is $99/night for SCA people and there might be a couple of others coming who would be willing to split the second night...

Thank you for the offer of crash space even if only for Friday night. I will see who else is going and what can be arranged in the next few months, as I do need dark and quiet to sleep (I think Joanne at Costume College has trained me too well for going to bed early when in a hotel, but I don't want to this time). I will let you know as things get firmed up. Thanks again.

Is that Saionji-dono?

I'd love to be there for her elevation, but sadly, it's far too far to travel. She's inspired me in my pursuit of a Japanese SCA persona, though, and I'm happy to see her elevated.

I understand from Sarah that yes, Saionji-dono has also been asked to be a Laurel. I've only met her a couple of times now, although I was thinking of taking her Taiko drumming beginners class this week at Great Western War.

A friend of mine is also being elevated at the event (Thea) and I have been pondering going as well. If I get a job I will be going. :)

If the train schedule remains the same as when I took it last, it would arrive in the station around 3:15pm, if I take the noon train from Fresno - that's the earliest I could leave on that Friday. I'll know better in December when I buy the tickets.
