my roommate swears by Craig's List and freecycle for things like that

Thanks. I might give both a try. Was thinking of using Craigslist to see if I could find an exercise machine in a reasonable price.

you may want to donate the yarn to a local retirement home. My grandmother loved to knit! :)

OMG. My husband sometimes calls me a fabric dragon. I also hoard things. My mom doesn't, but my Nana did, and so did my Papa. Yeah. I keep trying, but even the Fly Lady 15 minutes at a time to tackle my sewing room feels overwhelming.
I have the hardest time with patterns. I have more than a few hundred. And that's after I lost more than 1/2 in a flood right after culling my stash. *sigh* It only reinforced my pattern hoarding. :( I'm trying to get up the mental strength to go at that room.

My crafters' circle is working on Operation:Knit Your Bit, a knitting project to make blankets for soldiers currently deployed to Iraq.
