Basically, they had no patterns, no knowledge of "modern draping methods", or knowledge of darts as we know it (they used darts, but for reasons different than our method of darts).

So they took basic geometric pieces of fabrics, a few pins, and with knowledge of how to deal with both straight of grain, and the possibilities of small amounts of curve/bias, they fit on the garment, tweaking, pulling and cutting as needed, making a garment not only fit the body well, but support the breasts, and still not fall off the shoulders.

I am saying it badly, I am afraid, but that's the best i could write right now.

Something I only just realized about last year's DunDraCon seminars and recording them was that I was more involved in the discussion because I wasn't always trying to remember what important thing had been said and writing it down. Something you might want to think about for future events.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Only when Robin was miked was she clear enough to be heard where I was sitting. Several times she went off mike, and at those times, I could hear her, but may not have been hearable over a speaker in my computer.
