Just got word from my wonderful husband... he has the Monday after CoCo off from work, and if I want to go to the garment district (where all the wonderful &/or cheap fabric resides), I can stay another night and do so. Now to find out if my roommate and driving partner wants to stay and do the same. She's the one who mentioned it, so I really hope

Home Fabrics behind Michael Levine's is fabulous. Michael Levine's had some good deals - but you have to learn how to read the label in order to find the wholesale price. There is also Journal Fabrics, in the same building as Security Pacific Bank, on 9th street - I can't think of the cross street - it's one up from Wall, toward Michael Levine's. They have really good deals on silks - both Dupioni and machined silks that look like satin. Two doors down from them is Natalie Fabrics, where I get awesome deals on cheniles. Moon Fabrics on Wall is also a good bet for velvets - black specifically.
I know you know these things, but I thought that you might want to know. Berger's is also running out of findings and gems, so I usually go either to Beads and Trim (down Maple, big building with Orange and Red sign), or Bohemian Crystal.
Lace is expensive down there - I recommend cheaptrims.com where you can get 20 yards of what looks like reticula lace for only 15.00.

And I have issues with cheaptrims, since they have that minimum requirement on orders (or did, last time I ordered). Yep, $65 minimum. But I will keep that in mind. I will need at least 20 yards for the suite of ruffs.

To the resale number, I have my own. But thank you kindly for your offer. I guess I will have to take my card with me, and check out Michael Levine (which I normally don't anymore).
Home is where I will start, and maybe end. I love that place, and wish they had more stores like that in my area. {drool}
I will look for that trim store. I think I better download the garment district map pdf and start marking places.
Thanks again!
