Garment district!!!
Just got word from my wonderful husband... he has the Monday after CoCo off from work, and if I want to go to the garment district (where all the wonderful &/or cheap fabric resides), I can stay another night and do so. Now to find out if my roommate and driving partner wants to stay and do the same. She's the one who mentioned it, so I really hope the answer with her is yes.
And since I am not taking a sewing machine, or lots of costumes, we will have PLENTY of room to fill up the back of that Lexus SUV of Joanne's. I forsee rolls of fabric, although in reality, I only need a really pretty damask, preferably in black and white silk, or maybe a nice blue or red pattern suitable for late 1590s noble. I know the one Home store I will be hitting first, and the ones across from it that held similar fabrics. I will also need yards of suitable lace for the large ruff.
Also need to stock up on more nice linens, too. And must find the right findings at Bergers, too. Oh, now I need a shopping list! W00t!!
