The velvet gives it an odd, kinda "mushy" look. That is a result of fabric choice, I think. Otherwise, I rather like it.

I have trouble describing what I mean. I think I'm expecting smooth lines at the wrists and other seams, but it looks a little, well, "mushy." Not sharp, neat seams. Like they should lay smoother. I seem to be repeating myself, but I can't think of another way to say it. Maybe tomorrow evening I can do better.

Ah, I think I get it, although you can describe better later.

And yeah, not sharp lines, since it isn't thin cotton pressed within an inch of its life. It's thicker, has a life of its own in a way. And I like it, too.

It's lovely! I see it as more "cushy" than "mushy", altho I get the point. Strikes me as quite opulent and lively, rather than stiff and decorous. Looking forward to the "live" view on your client.

Thank you!! I am glad you liked the frock coat.

And contact me at costumes at kimiko1 dot com (that's a one, not an ell) when your account recovers. I remember that all too well after Conclave.
