cleaning pc and closet

I am writing from my old PC right now, and it feels odd typing on this old system. My hands are getting used to the laptop keyboard, although I do miss the tenkey. I also miss Semagic, as it does a lot of what I want and spoils me on the ease of getting tags ( Read more... )

Plenty of book dbs out there.

No more buying fabric until I know what I have, get rid of what I don't want anymore, and have it all organized where I can find it easily.

How are you planning to organize the fabric? And how will the ongoing organizational system work? (truly interested, because I have much the same issue, if on a smaller scale)

I thought you had read that article before. I've got a few boxes already sorted this way, but slacked off on completing the work.

I also have a software program that I also need to update, to keep track of the rest of my stuff, like patterns and such.

I thought maybe you had stumbled across some other method that worked better or something.

I like this line from that file -

Its not hard to lose steam on a project, and taking a break for one is fine, but you can't start a new one until the old ones are finished or abandoned.

And I know a lot of people (myself included) who don't follow that rule. I've got two projects in the works, and both are about half-finished. That's one reason I haven't started building the 15th Italian clothing - I haven't finished the others yet. I will soon. Honest. At least before Kearney, the blue thing will be finished (doublet and base). The other one I'm not happy with, and I may rip it apart and use the cloth for something else.

I used to have that issue, with several unfinished things, so I now only work on one major project at a time, and if I need to switch to something else, I make it a small item like a hat or accessory.
