They sell this stuff at PetSmart called 'Feliway.' It's expensive as hell but it works nicely as a deterrent to urinating on or clawing at furniture.

Thank you! There are all manner of those things...
One is a $50 plug in contraption that sprays the room, like a
diffuser...and we have a spray called "No!" but it must not work.

We've always joked that it should be called "Yes, check!"

I had both rocking in my living room at the same time, but for the money I'd say the spray is the way to go on a fabric couch.

we have the SAME couch only in black. The living room was done in 98% Ikea furniture. One piece I got from bed bath & beyond. We also have Billy bookshelves and this wonderful nugget:
