Temporary reprieve over. You need to not do this.

An open ended deal? While you're pretty obviously drunk out of your mind? Are you trying to join Dean or something?

[ that was way harsh, dawn. ]

If you die, I'll pull a Willow and bring you back, and then I'll kill you myself.

No, Anna. I'm sick of waiting. I'm sick of running around helping people and pretending that everything will be okay eventually, because it won't. It's been too long and you know it.

Then sober up and use your head. [She's tempted to just sober him up herself.]

Making a deal like this is ridiculous. Not to mention dangerous. Haven't you learned that yet?

I've learned it, but what else can I do? I've got a bomb in my head and every second Dean's away, it gets closer to going off. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate, I can't even think my own thoughts. I'm forced to listen to him 24/7, and Dean's the only one that can make it all stop.

I tried, Euphie. I tried being patient. But he's my brother.

Dean sold his soul to bring me back. There isn't a trade I wouldn't make.

Dean thought the most frustrating thing ever was dealing with drunk Cas. Since he died he's learned that is far from the truth. The most frustrating thing ever is watching his brother spiral down like this and not being able to do a damn thing about it. It takes concentration and he has to recall some skills that he learned the first time he was a ghost but Dean takes the whiskey bottle Sam's been using as a security blanket and smashes it against a wall.

Well...okay more dramatic than he'd intended but that was sort of what ghosts did, wasn't it? Dramatic.

Dramatic, indeed. Sam has broken a lot of things, most of them in the same way as that bottle, but he's fairly certain he didn't throw that one. Or is he finally just losing his mind? He looks around wildly to see if maybe someone's just messing with him. But there's no one there. Yep, definitely going crazy.

Yeah that wasn't an accident Sam. And ghost!Dean will prove it by shoving Sam toward the couch. The message here is clear if only Sam knew it was his brother. Stop drinking like a fish and sit your ass down.

Of course shoving Sam takes a good bit of concentration and ghosty strength. The shove may not be as hard as Dean intended.

Sam feels the pressure on his chest and stumbles back just a little, confused beyond all reason. He looks behind him to the couch, then down at where he felt something shove him. Like whatever this is wants him to sit down. It's crazy, it's insane, and there's no possible way, but he looks around again.

"...Dean?"
