Tommy yawned heartily and surveyed the group of his fellow students. Gossip abounded, but he wasn't interested. Dark figures, danger, what was the point when you were cooped up with all the professors standing guard?

"Slumber parties mean one thing," he announced to the air, "Pillow fights!"

With that he unceremoniously clocked his neighbor over the head with his pillow.

Getting thwacked over the head with a pillow wasn't Ikkaku's idea of a good spar, but it was more fucking fun than sitting around and being bored all night. This shit was stupid.

He grinned, grabbed his own pillow and swung it round to try and smack Tommy in the face.

Odds were, someone else would have gotten caught in the crossfire, but Ikkaku didn't notice. "YA GONNA PAY FER THAT!" He wasn't mad. Just excited.

Tommy took one to the face with pure amusement. Obviously, that was the best response he could have hoped for. Fighting all by yourself was no fun.

"Not if I get you first!" he shouted, swinging wildly at Ikkaku and anyone else within range. Hopefully he could start a riot before the professors interfered.

Preoccupied with thoughts of Roxas again, Sora didn't notice the two older Gryffindors and their pillows until it was too late. He spluttered, keeling over as he took one full to the face.

"Hey!" he protested, pushing himself back up into a sitting position. Further protests died on his lips as he took in the situation, a wide grin replacing them. "Pillow fight!" he agreed happily, grabbing his own weapon and attacking in earnest.

Byakuya had assisted in the evacuation of the more unruly Ravenclaws, his impassive face quelling most arguments, and his lack of hesitation in taking points from his own House doing the rest.

Wand in hand, he took up a position next to the main doors. While the subject he taught did not involve any practical magic, that had no bearing on Byakuya's skill as a wizard.

Being summoned from her hut, she thought she was done for the night after feeding and checking on all the animals around the hut. June had already had quite a bit of alcohol. It showed when she strode in and placed herself next to Byakuya. Although she had a great constitution and would need far more in order to start slurring words or losing coordination, she had not slept for a while and was feeling tension from the entire situation.

"Kuchiki, right?" June inquired as she turned her head to look past Byakuya's hair and into his eyes. She smirked at him, waiting for a reply.

Byakuya shut his eyes for a brief moment, as if fortifying himself against June's presence. Briefly he wondered what it was about him that seemed to be attracting inebriated women as of late, before turning a blank, slightly superior look towards the gamekeeper. His encounter with Shalice had not left him well-disposed to dealing with the human species in general.

"Indeed," he replied flatly. "You are the gamekeeper." It was not a question.

June pouted at his dismissive behavior. "Yes, I am. June...umm..." June flustered herself for a moment. She had to come up with a last name to counter his pretentiousness. Come on...think, June. "Hunter! I mean, June Hunter." She grew with pride for her quickness.

Edward was tired. It was late and dark and he'd been woken up in the middle of the night for an evacuation. Why, he didn't know, nor did he care but at least he had grabbed a book. He held onto it tightly as he entered the Great Hall. This. Sucked. He curled up in a corner and sighed, opening the book. He was too tired to read but he was going to do it anyway.

Naps were important. Sleep was even more important -- which was why Shikamaru greatly, greatly resented having to get up in the middle of the night and be led to the Great Hall. Finding the darkness unimportant, his thoughts skittering away from thinking about why he and everyone else in the dorms had been roused -- too troublesome -- he made his way to an uninhabited corner to sleep again.

...Perhaps lack of sleep was dulling his senses. This corner was not uninhabited.

Still, it was too much effort to find another corner.

Thus.

Shikamaru sat down beside the boy in the corner, resting his back against the wall without speaking, closing his eyes.

"Hi." Edward offered softly as he glanced at Shikamaru. He didn't really know the boy and after a moment's thought, he shook his head a bit. It was okay if they didn't talk or anything.

...Then again, he had been isolated for a while. With Ino and Temari having disappeared, oddly, he had been alone.

He blamed that when responding.

"Hey."

He subsided into silence immediately thereafter -- he was no good at starting conversations.

Once the kids were all herded into the Great Hall, Leon chose a position near one of the unsupervised doors. His posture was deceptively relaxed, almost as though he were bored, but inside he was tensed and worried, ready to do whatever might be necessary to protect the students. It seemed as though his talents as an Auror might come in handy sooner than expected.

Eyes wide as saucers, Haruhi bounded around the hall looking for an unguarded door. Despite her best attempts, she hadn't managed to evade Professor Ashelia earlier in the evening and now she really wanted to get out of the hall and go looking for- whatever was causing all this excitement!
Haruhi was pretty sure it was aliens; though the gaint spiders in the forest were probably also a pretty safe bet.
But between her and the excitement, the teachers and staff were blocking the doors! As though they wanted to keep the fun away from the students! It really just wasn't fair.

She would have to sneak past one of them while they weren't looking...
Chosing her target, Haruhi settled on the new flying instructor (who looked very interesting in and of himself, with that gigantic scar on his face...). Attempting to be inconspicuous, she waited until the was looking the other way to try and get past him through the door...

Movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention, and Leon glanced to the side to see some young student trying to sidle past him out the door. He had no idea what her name was--though he vaguely remembered seeing someone that looked like her sitting at the Gryffindor table--but that didn't make him shy about speaking up.

"Sleeping bags are that way," he said mildly.

Wow~ This new professor was good! Haruhi blinked as he addressed her, trying to look innocent and surprised. If she could put him off his guard, she might be able to sneak past him ultra fast!

"It's alright, I'm not looking for sleeping bags..." she began, grinning from ear to ear. "But thank you for the information! I will certainly tell anyone who asks where they are."

She gave him a brighter smile and a thumbs up and continued towards the door.

People seemed to be reacting quite differently to the events of the night ( ... )

Almaz uncomfortably watched everyone mill about, feeling silly and somewhat embarrassed for coming out here in his pajamas, but seeing a few people in the same situation helped to alleviate that some. It wasn't like he really had much say in the matter anyway. When they were told to go come into the Great Hall, he barely had enough time to pull on a shirt and grab his wand before he had to leave. He hadn't even thought to bring his robes or a pillow or a blanket or anything like that ( ... )

The idea of falling back asleep at this point was starting to look more and more unbelievable to Rhyme. Aside from the fact that she was no longer tired were the points that she was concerned with what could be going on inside the castle and that there were quite a few people moving about the Great Hall. It was too much activity for sleep, really. Still, she thought she would give it one last try. She closed her eyes...

Someone next to her muttered, "I hope something bad hasn't happened."

She sat up straight and shook her head. No use, Rhyme decided, if she wanted to go back to sleep she would just have to wait until they were allowed back in the dorms. As for now, conversation was always a good way to pass time, and there was one right next to her.

"Hmmm..." she voiced, "What do you think? It must be pretty bad since we're all here, but if it were that bad, there would probably be a full-scale evacuation." As usual, Rhyme was thinking quite logically about this. "Luck favors the prepared," she stated.

((Gah, sorry, didn't mean to take so long replying to this. >.O Things were a little hectic the past couple days.))

Almaz winced as the girl sat up so suddenly. Oops. He really shouldn't have said anything. But maybe she'd been awake the entire time, since she didn't seem to look or sound that tired. Actually, she seemed pretty smart for being so young.

"I'm not really sure," he replied, looking to see what everyone else was doing. No one seemed too panicked, even if the teachers looked to be a little bit more on their guard than usual--but, then again, that was to be expected with the circumstances. He shifted in place. Maybe everyone else was doing okay, but he couldn't help but feel more than a little nervous about everything that was going on. "But you've got a point. And even if it is bad, the teachers should be able to take whoever it was, right?" He laughed quietly, nervously. He hoped so.

"And, um, sorry for waking you up. I didn't mean to."
