Guitar slung over his shoulder, Ren made his way to the place he would rather avoid at all cost for the rest of his school year, the hospital wing. News really did travel fast normally but, because of the slime distracting people that morning, it didn’t reach Ren’s ears till just recently that evening. Sure, he wasn’t really friends with Link but, Ren knew how hard it was to keep a secret from people and how much it messes with your head to have it ripped wide open. Swan finding out that Ren was a drug addict was pretty bad, poor Link must be feeling horrible with the whole school finding out.

He knocked on the door lightly as he entered, a chill going down his spine being back in the horrid white room. “Hey, man. You doing okay?”

Link was surprised to see the seventh year. He didn't really know Ren that well, and really didn't expect him to visit. He didn't even know that knew he was in the infirmary. "Hi Ren. I guess I'm ok. What are you doing here?"

OoC:Link doesn't know that everyone knows about the werewolf thing.

Ren gave a small smile at the questions, "Guess no one told you yet." He said idly, taking a chair and dragging it beside the other boys bed to sit on it, taking the guitar case off his back to rest it on the ground beside him. He really didn't want to break the news to him but, Link had to know that his secret...wasn't a secret anymore.

"I heard about what happened last night. Probably by now, more then half the school and all the profs will know."

Link raised an eyebrow. Ren couldn't be talking about what he thought he was talking about. He had to be talking about something else. No one knew about his...condition. No one but Sheik and Del, and he knew that they wouldn't say anything about it.

"What do you mean?" Sure, the thought that the entire school knowing that he was a werewolf was frightening, but it just couldn't happen. Even though the thought was eating at his brain, he wouldn't believe that his secret was now known by everyone.

The fact that Ganondorf was bothering to visit at all wasn't to be mistaked with concern. No, it was more like... he was in the mood for screwing with an already vulnerable youth's head. He wanted to know exactly what made Link think it was a smart idea to not only hide this little curse from the staff, but be idiotic enough not to have some kind of way to stifle the werewolf within. There were more than qualified people to help him if that was an issue. But Gryffindors always were the house of morons. They never thought things through.

It didn't matter though. He got due credit for stopping the rampage, and that was really all he cared about.

"You don't remember?" he asked rhetorically, hearing Link's question upon entering the infirmary. "You were on a bloodlust within the school. You had to be taken down eventually."

Link was definitely expecting a professor to visit, but he certainly wasn't expecting Ganondorf. He hardly knew the professor, for he had never taken the class. Wizarding law was such a bore, and Link figured that if he knew the basic laws, he would be fine.

Even though Link never really interacted with Ganondorf before, he knew from the moment he first saw him that he didn't like him.

"A friend was kind enough to inform me." He kept his voice low, but didn't try to hide his displeasure at the professor's presence at all. "Are you here to tell me what the Headmaster wants to do with me?"

"Unfortunately, no," Ganondorf replied, resting his forearms at the small of his back and stopped himself infront of Link's bed.

"What will be done with you is still being discussed. But it has been a common question as to just what you were thinking when you decided against acquiring help that would allow you control over your little problem. Surely it occurred to you that you could kill someone if there was even one small slip-up. Last night is a fine example."

Of course, he was hardly helping matters by addressing Link in such a condescending manner but then, that was such a trifle matter to him.

OoC: Again, sorry for jumping gun. I feel rather silly for that now. :\

(OoC: Oh, no. Don't be sorry. I love your Ganon! Make him as mean and hateful as you want! I like torturing Link.)

Link's eyes narrowed. He didn't have to answer Professor Ganondorf's questions, and he wouldn't. Sure, Link's condition was now everyone's problem, but he would only answer to his head of house and the headmaster, not to this asshole. What did he know about problems that came with being a werewolf? He'd never understand Link's actions even if he did try to explain them. "Do you really think you'll understand even after I told you?"

"Well, well, well. You certainly know how to out do yourself don't you?" Axel chimed, seemingly coming out of nowhere to enter the infirmary. That was the plus-side to knowing secret passages in Hogwarts, you could seem to literally appear out of thin air. "Word around the castle is that someone got loose last night."

He sighed, shaking his head as he slumped into a chair by Link's bedside. "You're lucky word hasn't made it outside of the grounds yet."

Link jumped when he heard the voice of his roommate. He had a habit of popping out of nowhere, and Link was still not used to that despite living with the guy for six years. "What does it matter? People are going to learn soon enough. The other students will send letters home to their parents, and they'll demand that I get kicked out. It's just a matter of time when that happens." Link had finally gotten over the fact that his secret was now known to every being in the school, but he still didn't want to deal with the fact that he'd most likely get kicked out.

"They'll have to put up quite the fight if they want that to happen." Axel replied, dropping down to sit on the edge of Link's hospital bed. "Listen up roomie. You and I both know you aren't a bad kid, the head master knows it and most of our professors do too. You aren't going anywhere unless there isn't a solution to be had. Got it memorized?"

Fish wasn’t really sure what was going on but, he had just heard that Link was in the hospital wing and that was all he needed to run out to quickly check on how his roommate was doing, despite how late it was. The actual reason why Link was in the infirmary in the first place Fish wasn’t fully aware of since he had been…occupied all day…but entering the room and seeing the blonde all bruised and bandaged caused him to frown. He was awake now too so Fish figured it was a good enough time to be a bit scolding.

“What did you do to get beat up this bad?!” He cried at the other boy before his gaze turned to redhead sitting beside the bed, “Oh! Hi Axel.”

Rangiku lingered by the door for a moment before committing to walking into the room. "Hey stranger." She greeted the Gryffindor with a gentle smile, although as her eyes took in how battered he was looking they shone with regret. Still, she kept her tone cheery. "I thought you might be feeling thirsty," she continued, pulling up a chair and flopping herself into it before presenting the empty jug in her hand. She set it on the table and tapped it, watching as it filled with chocolate milk.

"How are you?"

(OoC: OMG CHOCOLATE MILK!!!!)

Link let the chocolate milk sit on the bedside table next to the Dreamless Draught that he still hadn't touched. It wasn't that he was taking Ren's word about not trusting the healer, but he had a lot of thoughts to sort out in his head before he even thought of sleeping.

He shrugged at the charms professor's question. "I've been better." Once again, Link didn't try to keep any negative emotions out of his voice. It was too much effort for the moment.

[OOC: She remembered! ♥]

The Charms Professor watched him for a moment, eyes serious even as she tried to conjure up another smile for him. "I bet," she replied softly. Her voice was quiet and understanding. There was so much weight in his words -- the last thing he needed was probably someone to be depressing, but she could at least try to understand. Understand, and cheer him up.

"You know, I hope you're not expecting me to go easy on you when you come back to class," Rangiku finally continued. Tone more upbeat, she carried on. "You can't blame a girl for being jealous you get to spend so much time in bed, after all."

Link tried to smile at the professor's comment, but failed. He really was grateful that Professor Rangiku came to see him, but he was too preoccupied with other thoughts that kept him so low. "I hope I'll be able to come back. Do you know what the headmaster wants to do yet? Have you talked to Professor Ashelia?"

Um, at somepoint when Link's alone...? androgyninja February 12 2009, 04:47:33 UTC
Sheik had heard about his best friend's predicament earlier that morning, and made a point to check up on him when no one else was around. It was a while before such an opportunity arose, and when it did Sheik was at Link's bedside in a flash.

He looked down at his friend in silence, trying to find the right words to say. But what could one say in such a situation?

"Link..." he started, sighing when words failed him. He wanted to say everything was going to be okay, that it wasn't going to change anything... but it would be an empty promise.

Link couldn't find any words either. He had really screwed up this time, and he wasn't sure if this mistake could be fixed. He looked up when Sheik called his name, but just saw the pity that was in his eyes, so he looked away.

"I guess I really screwed up this time, haven't I?"

Agreed. @.@ androgyninja February 12 2009, 05:09:20 UTC
Sheik took a moment to respond. "Don't put yourself down... Such an important secret was bound to be discovered eventually. Perhaps not to this extent, but..." he trailed off, shaking his head. "I can't imagine the headmaster not doing everything in his power to make sure you're able to continue attending Hogwarts."

Sheik's words didn't improve Link's mood. He knew that he was saying it just because Link wanted to hear it. Even if the headmaster was on his side, there might be so much pressure from parents or even the ministry that he'd have to be kicked out anyway. "I'm such an idiot. I could have killed someone last night, Sheik."
