Name(s): Rangiku, anyone who wants to take Charms (or just wants to visit Ran, because she's that awesome.) Location: Charms Classroom Day: Day 4 Time: Morning Rating: PG (Unless something wildly exciting happens?)
Roxas slowly walked into Charms, setting his books on a desk toward the very back of the room. He flipped open to a random page that they'd covered already, skimming it to try to remember what they'd covered. Not that he'd put much effort into learning it the first time. There was only a small handful of charms he was any good at, but he was very, very good at them.

Mai was not all that amused by the prospect of classes, even less so because she had to have them with Gryffindors. She took her seat in the middle of the row at the far end of the room and got her books out, ignoring the other people in the room.

Edward found a seat in the back and settled into place until he was relatively comfortable. He wasn't that interested in Charms, but since he had to take it, he made a point of excelling in it, as was his usual state of being. He shifted his parchment and quill until it was angled correctly and poised his hand to write.

"My favourite fifth years!" Rangiku was starting to feel a little more awake now, and no one could escape her once she got going. "You all look so enthusiastic."
She flicked her wand idly, setting the chalk to writing on the board. "We'll wait for everyone to arrive until we get going, but until then... entertain me. What can you tell me about Silencing Charms?" Rangiku spun around, idly twirling her wand. "Anyone? Don't make me cast a sparkling charm."
Seifer stood before the doorway a few minutes, reassuring himself that he was going to be late to class. While opening the door, he rationalized to himself that he took his time this morning, and there's absolutely no way he could..."DAMMIT!" he yelled without recourse.
There were only a few people in the room, but only recognized the professor who had tried to "connect" with him. He figured he owed her little to nothing, and that little being sitting through her class. "Hey...*awkward hand gesture pointing at Rangiku* teacher."

"Seifer," she acknowledged with a friendly smile. "It's good to see you setting an example to the younger students." The smile turned teasing and she moved away from her desk, continuing to address him. "We're going to be working on a few different things today, although you'll probably be bored anyway..." Her blue eyes lingered on him for a moment. "Try to at least look awake, 'kay?"
Re: 7th YeartipofagunbladeSeptember 10 2008, 01:37:46 UTC
Although the cheery sentiment seemed familiar and comforting to him, Seifer noticed Mai coming into the room. At this point, it was time to turn on the typical self. "Can't make promises."
Re: 3rd yearbring_me_sakeSeptember 10 2008, 15:28:30 UTC
She allowed herself a melodramatic pout. Those Slytherins.
"You break my heart, Seifer." More students were coming in, so she gave him a nod and continued to make rounds.
He's only ever bored in this class, she mused to herself as she went. There was an idea pestering her, but tempting as it was it would only require more work. And, as Rangiku had often stated, her specialised skill was laziness.
Still, it was work related to Charms, and there was a reason she was teaching it - it was the only subject that had actually ever interested enough for her to work at it.
Al walked in and blinked. Wait, she was sleeping? Seriously? Well. He figured he'd better wake her up before the others came in. "Professor?" he called.
Re: 4th Yearbring_me_sakeSeptember 11 2008, 05:41:11 UTC
She flashed Al a grin. It was always nice when someone voluntarily sat at the front.
"Turn your books to the section on Unbreakable Charms. It's bludger season, and we all need to be able to protect our belongings." Watching as the young Gryffindor in front of her found the page, she reached over and picked up the book, her eyes skimming the pages. "Used to make the object unbreakable... not to be used on organic matter... makes things hard to break?" She rolled her eyes at the book. "No kidding."
Snapping the book shut, Ran returned her full attention to her students. "Oooo-kay. Al, why do you think a wizard would want or need to use an Unbreakable Charm?"

PallaPalla walked nervously into class, peeking around the corner as she stepped into the room, looking all around the room as she moved very slowly to a seat and sat in it. Her head never stopped moving, eyes flicking about in every direction. She was very nervous, and quite frankly, didn't want to be out of bed, but it would have looked suspicious to skip all of her classes.
Re: 3rd yearpuppetpallasSeptember 11 2008, 07:02:58 UTC
Pallas seemed quite startled that the teacher not only used her nickname, but that she knew about Mr. Sparkles. NO one normally cared about such things. Her eyes got big for a moment. "PallaPalla is doing just fine thank you." She huffed, closing her eyes and feigning an annoyed look, but slowly peeking one eye open to look at her again. "Why did you ask about Mr. Sparkles? Most others just laugh at PallaPalla."
Sakura entered the Charm's class with every intention of running the hell out if Ino happened to be there.
However, it seemed that luck had finally kicked in for Sakura, because the blond was nowhere to be seen. Yet. The girl sighed, and crept to the back of the classroom. While she loved Charms (not as much as Potions, of course. Of course), and Professor Matsumoto was her favourite teacher, she really wasn't in the mood to deal with the somewhat eccentric woman. At least, not in front of witnesses.

Rangiku noticed Sakura's attempt at a stealthy entrance and frowned slightly. Usually Sakura sat further towards the front.
She weighed up the options: leave Sakura alone when she obviously wanted space ... pounce on the girl and pester her until she let up and talked to her. She should really go with the first one. She should.
"Sakura! I might need your help a little later, okay? Have your wand ready!"
Sakura supposed that she should have considered herself lucky. Plus, Professor Matsumoto had mentioned something about extra credit in her journal, maybe that was what she wanted?
Right, I should be so lucky.
"Of course, Professor Matsumoto!"

Re: 6th Yearbring_me_sakeSeptember 11 2008, 06:42:58 UTC
"Hooray!" Rangiku grinned gleefully. "We're going to work on something fun today." With a flourish she flicked her wand. "Aguamenti!" A jet of water splashed from her wand, heading straight for the students. With a skillful twist Rangiku's silent spell made the water coil away from the almost-drenched class and threw them a cheeky grin.

Maybe I'll talk to Ashe about it.

Sighing, she lifted her head. "Or, I could do my job. Life is so cruel." Rangiku stretched and pushed herself out of her chair.
"Good morning, Al."

A yawn interrupted her next question. "What happened to Mr.Sparkles, again?"

Well. It was sort of a compromise.
