WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Soubi has his hair pulled back in hopes that it will help his students remember that he is a male. He's really never had such a problem with it before. Oh well, he just sighs.

Today they will be going over wood block prints. Soubi has set up a slide show in the class room and will be expecting everyone to be taking notes as he goes over the history of this form of art.

He will start with Japanese wood block prints for the fact that they are the most well known and there history. Next he will go on to explain how other cultures have taken the art form and made it their own.

At the end of the lecture he will have you carve a simple design out of plastic blocks. You're homework will be to finish the work and write a short paper on how the lecture influenced your design.

No one may ask why he had cat eats and a tail as a child, unless they want points taken.

Ataru is taking careful notes.
His piece of plastic is going to have a caricature of his father-in-law and the paper will explain exactly how this relates to the lecture.

A POP QUIZ.

Because Revan is lackluster and doesn't care. Because she was all tiny last week.

The quiz is all about the Jedi ideal, though, and if you fail, well...

You really shouldn't fail. :|a

The philosophy of war and peace. Where do the lines begin and end, where do they blur. Can peace be achieved through war?

Revan claps her hands. Discuss. Now. With her, amongst each other, in a paper, she doesn't really mind.

Well. Peace is where people are getting along and not hurting each other. Having understanding and having no one left out.

War could be where that isn't happening? People often fight wars in order to bring peace, don't they?

Library - Assistant Librarian beautifulreader October 18 2010, 05:15:48 UTC
Everyone is back to normal and no one could be happier than the library staff! The library itself, though? Well, it's feeling a bit used and dirty... Irate/manhandled books may be occasionally flying off the shelves until everything is cleaned up once again.

LUCKILY THOUGH CHERRY, NURSE JOY'S CLUMSY CHANSEY, IS HERE TO HELP. No, Nurse Joy is not trying to get rid of it, whatever gave you that idea? Honestly!

Feel free to say "hi", or request assistance, as Belle and Cherry go about cleaning up the library during the day. Later in the evening, Belle will be teaching Cherry some filing techniques and working with her finesse.

Why, hello Belle. Here's Cid, looking a little surprised and maybe disappointed about the state the library's in. ...If only because he came to find a book and he's not entirely sure if that'll be happening.

He'll politely apologize for interrupting, but he needs some help finding a specific book on magical legends.

Yeah, Cid isn't the only one who isn't pleased by the current state of the library. However, at least the children didn't destroy it like during that inferni attack a couple of weeks ago.

Belle will glance up from her focus of shelving and smile, apologizing for not hearing him right away. With a smile she'll put down her books and ask what book was he looking for?

Cherry the Chansey, Nurse Joy's to be exact, will be blissfully unaware that Belle is moving in an opposite direction and continue to shelve books incorrectly. xc It...it tries. At least the shelved books are no longer flying off said shelves at her.

Belle is doing very well, given the circumstances of so many children running amok. It must take a considerable amount of patience to maintain a library. ...Let alone Hogwarts'.

A book on legends, he'll tell her. The myths of the fal'Cie and muggleborns, to be exact.

Kyp has the Shuckle this week 8|b

He's sitting cross-legged on his desk. The Shuckle is floating happily around his head, and instead of his usual sort of 'I-don't-want-to-be-here' attitude, the air he's giving off is sort of pensive.

He clears the desks out of the way with a negligent wave and summons some comfortable chairs and beanbags instead. Today, he's less about the talking and more about the listening. He wants to know what your views on Mental Magic are. The ethics and morality of being able to enter a person's mind, when is it okay and when isn't it, who should be able to do it, if anyone, and how should it be regulated.

Finally, after quite a few weeks, the charming process may begin. There are plenty of charming spells that you have been taught this year that you can use.

Alyss has also left out a few books on paint charms for any of you who would like to try them out.

She is more than willing to help anyone who needs it. cx

Alois isn't feeling particularly cheery today, and upon entering the classroom he drops his belongings beside a blank canvas set in the far corner of the room and sets to work. He paints, almost exclusively, in black, despite later adding a sprinkle of red. For most the class, he's silent, but towards the end he starts humming a strange tune to himself, his lips pursing into a smile as paints the body at the bottom. The finished product looks something like this.

Charms? CHARMS?! 8DDDDDD

By the way, Alyss, that expression usually spells mayhem for someone or another.

Ed is happily drawing her wand out and giggling, perhaps a bit too gleefully, as she looms over her project.
