WELCOME TO OUR OOC CLASS LOG!

How this will work, is that professors who wish to hold an OOC log post a thread for each year of their classes, labelled with the year and class. Then, students reply and we carry out one of our OOC logs. For examples of how our OOC logs are carried out, please go hereIf you find that events are carried out in the ( Read more... )

Library - Assistant Librarian beautifulreader October 18 2010, 05:15:48 UTC
Everyone is back to normal and no one could be happier than the library staff! The library itself, though? Well, it's feeling a bit used and dirty... Irate/manhandled books may be occasionally flying off the shelves until everything is cleaned up once again.

LUCKILY THOUGH CHERRY, NURSE JOY'S CLUMSY CHANSEY, IS HERE TO HELP. No, Nurse Joy is not trying to get rid of it, whatever gave you that idea? Honestly!

Feel free to say "hi", or request assistance, as Belle and Cherry go about cleaning up the library during the day. Later in the evening, Belle will be teaching Cherry some filing techniques and working with her finesse.

Why, hello Belle. Here's Cid, looking a little surprised and maybe disappointed about the state the library's in. ...If only because he came to find a book and he's not entirely sure if that'll be happening.

He'll politely apologize for interrupting, but he needs some help finding a specific book on magical legends.

Yeah, Cid isn't the only one who isn't pleased by the current state of the library. However, at least the children didn't destroy it like during that inferni attack a couple of weeks ago.

Belle will glance up from her focus of shelving and smile, apologizing for not hearing him right away. With a smile she'll put down her books and ask what book was he looking for?

Cherry the Chansey, Nurse Joy's to be exact, will be blissfully unaware that Belle is moving in an opposite direction and continue to shelve books incorrectly. xc It...it tries. At least the shelved books are no longer flying off said shelves at her.

Belle is doing very well, given the circumstances of so many children running amok. It must take a considerable amount of patience to maintain a library. ...Let alone Hogwarts'.

A book on legends, he'll tell her. The myths of the fal'Cie and muggleborns, to be exact.

Belle will smile and wave off the compliment by saying that she truly enjoys working here and most of the children were and are rather well behaved. She might be a bit too nice in saying that, but hey, that's Belle.

A happy nod. She knows of just the book! Follow her as she weaves through every single obstacle that might come up like a ninja. :D

That's truly nice to hear. A few of the professors here have already struck him as snarky and intolerant; he feels sorry for their students.

Impressed by her finesse, he will eagerly follow but with super caution. He's not in any hurry and he'd... really rather not trip over things and such. 8| It's true: the bigger they are, the harder they fall. ...How long have you been doing this job, exactly, Miss?

Some of the professors may seem a bit ... standoffish ... but they are not all that bad! Many are rather wonderful with their students, she'll say with some happy/polite adamancy. The others... well, they have their ways.

Caution. Belle knows not this word in a library full of dangerous books somehow. 8| Eager and careful, however, she's got those down pat. Wouldn't want to bend a cover or anything horrible like that!

Hmm? Oh! She's been here for about a month now. Smilesmile. Feel free to be more impressed and a little freaked out because, damn, this girl and her Ravenclaw standard abilities, Cid.

Ah, she seems very confident in that. Cid will earnestly hope she is right.

. . . a month? Pardon Cid while he stops amongst the maze of books and gawks. He's a quick learner himself, but this library is--... Well, it's huge. That is quite a feat, Ms Desrosiers. And then he'll chuckle and start following her again. At least she's more than qualified for her job.

Secretly, sometimes Belle hopes she's right, too.

Belle will pause and wait for him, blushing slightly at his compliment. Merci, but it is just what she was hired to do. As she weaves through a few more of the stacks, she'll stop and lightly trail her hands amongst the spines of the books before standing tiptoe and gently pulling out a rather hefty, yet gorgeous book. This is an excellent one, full of great detail!

A pleased and really quite thrilled look fills his eyes when Belle locates the book. He's been looking for this particular one for some time, believe it or not. Hogwarts has one of the best libraries and he's profusely grateful. He'll gingerly take the book in his hands and deftly card through the pages. Yes, this one will do nicely.

That thrilled look in his eyes? Makes her job the best one ever.

Really? Well, it is a good thing he has found it then. She particularly enjoyed, as well as reccomends, the fifth and twelfth chapters. Belle will smile and ask if there was anything else he might need?

Bridget barely dodges a rather irate charms tome and gently sets it back in place. At least he knows he's not the reason the books are ticked- even as a kid, he was very careful about books.

...but mostly he's here to help with any extra cleaning/fixing up that might need to be done after having a bunch of kids running amok in the library. And maybe to bring Belle some nice truffles for the trouble she went through.

The book he set back seems quite happy after being shelved nicely into place. It might even be purring, contrary to the one Cherry just shelved which seems to be ... ranting. The poor Chansey is scared senseless and runs to Belle, who's comforting the poor pink thing~

As she looks up, Belle notices Bridget and says hello, wondering how he's doing. Cherry also notices Bridget and perks up right away! HUG TIME.

So hayyyy, Bridget. You're one of Belle's regulars/favourite kids~ And Cherry loves you.

Oh, Bonjour! Belle hasn't seen this student yet, but she'll smile and greet Juri all the same - Cherry chiming out a shrill "Chaaaanseeey~" in regards, too. :3

Magical History? What kind, exacty?

She blinks....the Librarian was...enthusiastic. Juri only nods, oh yeah! Book. Book. What type of book?

Any about the history of the school? 8D She's weird like that.
