Ren. Open. Hospital Wing.chainedlotusSeptember 6 2010, 05:58:01 UTC
In retrospect, it wasn't that long since the fighting started but, when in the middle of it, each day seemed to drag on forever. All the panic and pain that was delivered only really happened in a few measly hours and now it was done and over with as the last inferi fell and Ultimecia was defeated.
Now he had something else to worry about. Catty told him to stay out of trouble and now she was going to see him in a hospital bed.
Admittedly, the leg had been fixed now thanks to a few strong healing spells and he was just advised to stay off it for the rest of the day. It still didn't help that he got himself caught up in it and have it broken in the first place which was what Catty was going to be upset with him about.
Maybe his fellow recovering students could distract him from the impending lecture he was going to get.
If anyone was deserving of a lecture, it was Squall... who was currently sort of limping into the hospital wing, albeit reluctantly. He looked like hell, long cuts and gashes on his arms and legs, a large bruise on his face, robes cut up and mangled, and his gunblade was caked with blood. Well... at least he had been missing during the whole event for a reason, right?
He made his way over to the bed beside Ren, leaning his weapon against the nightstand, and half fell onto the bed without a word. There was a moment while he shifted around, comfortably leaning up against the headboard, before he finally fell still, waiting for a nurse to get to him.
"...hey," he said after a moment, not looking at Ren.
As his roommate came by to flop down on the bed next to him, Ren glanced up but didn’t say anything. He knew Squall wasn’t much for conversations and, right now might not be the best time to start one.
Or he thought that up until the point Squall started talking to him and Ren had to wonder if he take one too many hits to the head during the invasion.
"Hn..." came the reply, and for a moment, it looked like that was all Squall was going to say. Finally, he sighed, before continuing, "...I was keeping the inferi from getting into the forest."
That at least explained the twig that was sticking out of his hair oddly.
Kanda // Hospital Wing // Open cursedlotusSeptember 6 2010, 16:53:30 UTC
Kanda sat in the hospital wing , Mugen broken laying in a bag by the bed, annoyed look on Kanda's face saying he didn't want to be here. The only remaining clothes he did have left were the ones he had been made to wear, for obvious reasons.
Eyebrow twitching slightly to the sounds of other people talking or doing anything as he reached out and grabbed his blue cardigan putting it on quickly, not wanting to be here for another second. He was better, he had healed he didn't need to be in here anymore, no matter what people say.
He climbed out of bed, stretching as he grabbed the bag that use to be Mugen his sword and he started to walk towards the hospital wing door to get out.
Catty sat back, staring at the sketch in her lap before picking her pencil back up. It was quiet, but... Somehow, she had begun to actually enjoy that sort of calm silence. A few years ago, hell even last year, she never would have believed that she could enjoy such overwhelming peace, but here she was.
Enjoying it.
That might have also been because of the still-thrilling thrum of excitement flowing through her veins from the first night of the invasion. Just thinking about it brought a quirk to the corner of her mouth, a grin slowly sliding into its rightful place on her lips. Her fingers worked with more vigor as she sketched.
Yeah, Catty was throwing off a lot of feelings of pride right about now.
Jaina was beyond sore when she walked out onto the grounds, her leg still slightly stiff as she made her way over to where Catty was sitting.
They hadn't exactly agreed to meet there, but Jaina had heard from a few of the other students that the sixth year had made her way outside with a sketchpad in hand, and decided fresh air didn't sound too bad.
Without a word, Jaina plopped down on the ground unceremoniously, laying back with her hands folded underneath her head in order to look at the sky.
It didn't actually surprise her that Jaina had come out here, found her. Or that she said nothing to Catty at all when she lied back on the ground.
"How's Jim doing?"
Catty didn't even pause in her drawing, the smile still stuck to her face as she glanced briefly at Jaina. It was the first thing she thought of asking, knowing that Jim was laid up in the hospital wing. Knowing that the two of them were pretty close.
Sasuke / Open / Hall near the Slytherin Common Room entranceimpassive_eyesSeptember 7 2010, 03:34:38 UTC
Sasuke sat with his back to a wall, listening to the faint sounds of people moving around, echoing down the halls from the direction of the common rooms. It was much quieter down here, much less liable to make him feel hemmed in, nervous, claustrophobic. Right now, Sasuke just wanted his mind to be blank, to not think for a couple hours. Not thinking would be great.
This was not, surprisingly, a negative feeling at all. Simply a strong one.
[ just talk to him, idk. your character might have seen him slaying Inferi with some serious fire spells early on in the event. ]

The most delicate of sneers graced the corners of Ta'a Chume's lips as she lifted up her excessive amounts of skirts, eyes darting along the hallway with something that could only be distaste as she shook her impractically heeled foot free of Inferi remains.
"Disgraceful," she muttered under her breath, straightening the tiara she had used to pin up her coif, gloved hands resting on her hips. She had left the school for a simple, relaxing spa weekened and returned to a tacky castle in tacky ruins.
"You there," she said with pursed lips to the young man with the unfortunate hairstyle, "Explain."
Ravenclaw Dorm || Openbamf_inthenightSeptember 7 2010, 04:49:41 UTC
It had been a long weekend, to say the least.
Looking around the partially wrecked common room, Kurt could think of so many things that needed to be done- there was the staircase to finish unblocking, windows to repair, inferi bodies to remove, damage to be repaired, traps to disarm... and that was only in the Ravenclaw tower.
He dropped onto the couch instead, after brushing off a few pieces of rubble. The clean-up wasn't going anywhere, and now that the Headmaster had given the all-clear, it was time for a rest.

As soon as Rail entered the common room, the guitar case he had been holding dropped on the ground with a short 'thunk', eyes widening as a hand rubbed the back of his neck. When they announcements to head for Garden had gone, he had expected something like this to happen, but the reality was a little different.
And gross. His guitar case had landed on a severed arm. Shit.
Rail sighed, looking around and spotting Kurt on the sofa, "Looks like you guys had a wild time."

"Obnoxiously. Everytime I go up there he tries to con a sponge bath out of me."
She looked over at her friend, "Painting anything interesting?"
