HISTORY OF MAGIC -- First Year whoaismyhairout February 22 2010, 05:38:04 UTC
I hope I am doing this right |D

You will be given coloring books as soon as you walk in. For the more intelligent students, Hades has given you connect-the-dots. It's clear he doesn't want to be here.

Oh, hey kids. Welcome to History of Magic for second years! Aren't you all just wonderful little snowflakes?

Oh wait, you aren't.

Hades will be boring you to tears talking about the Salem Witchcraft Trials and how the build-up was a little boring but the climax of it all will have you swinging.

Hope you kids like hearing about the Gungan Uprising of 1105. Because you are getting an earful of it. He assigns you all to write two scrolls on Jar Jar the Binks, hero of the Naboon Clan.

Hades is more irritable than usual, turns out he had money on the last quidditch game and he lost it all. As a responsible educator, he is going to take it all out on his students. Don't get on his badside because his temper'll flare up.

He grumpily lectures on the seer Joan d'Arc and tells you all about the finer points of French BBQ.

DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS himynameisgod February 22 2010, 08:36:10 UTC
Teresa is not in a good mood. Be warned.

Students will spend this week reading about various dark creatures for homework, and giving oral reports in class on how to defend against them, complete with demonstrations of the spells.

Teresa will largely ignore all of these reports.

Orihime slightly misunderstood the topic and did her topic of Bogey men (they live in the dark, after all...). It's a well-researched and overall pretty thorough presentation and she takes great pleasure in demonstrating both the detection and purging spells.

She returns to her desk with a wide smile on her face, pleased with herself and how much work she's put into this.

Catty's just going to be giggling softly in her seat. She thinks Orihime's report is amazing. Although, she wasn't aware that there were detection spells for the Bogey men.

Wands away! You're not allowed to use magic here. If he catches you, he'll make you dance I'm a little teapot in front of the whole class.

The students are given a thorough speech and put into acting pairs. Today's scene is Romeo and Juliet. Pair up! Even if there are only females or only males.

Blending magic and art is a true artists talent. Working individually to prone your talent, you are to create tapestries of ones life, explaining why love and tragedy go so well hand in hand. He wants to see if you've been reading.

Extra Credit is given out if any were able to gain that special "prop" he assigned you to obtain one of the caretaker's gloves. Hopefully you grabbed the right ones

Ty Lee proudly presents her tapestry of life-- it is full of sunshine, butterflies, and sparkles!!! There is also a bear doing a cartwheel for some reason.

She sadly grabbed the wrong gloves, however, and presents a fuzzy pink mitten.

Alyss is really excited to finally be teaching a class. Today she just wants to get a feel for you kids. It seems unorthodox, but she would just like for you to introduce yourselves and tell the class what about art interests you the most.

Bonus points for anyone actually showing off something they've done~

Namine is shy and subdued as usual, but it's a little happier than she's been most of the week after the love potion wore off.

She is probably one of the last to introduce herself and while she talks about how much she likes drawing and the colors of art...she doesn't show off any of her work. She doesn't really feel comfortable showing it off.

Alyss smiles, not put off by the quiet demeanor.

She asks Namine what her two favorite colors in the world are and what she likes to draw the most.

This is one of Chao's superior classes and the test makes that pretty clear. You will get a pretty nice essay that tries its best to fill in as much detail as it can while still trying to remain under the page limits if there is any about all that the professor requested and more.
