Students will spend this week reading about various dark creatures for homework, and giving oral reports in class on how to defend against them, complete with demonstrations of the spells.

Orihime slightly misunderstood the topic and did her topic of Bogey men (they live in the dark, after all...). It's a well-researched and overall pretty thorough presentation and she takes great pleasure in demonstrating both the detection and purging spells.
She returns to her desk with a wide smile on her face, pleased with herself and how much work she's put into this.

Catty's just going to be giggling softly in her seat. She thinks Orihime's report is amazing. Although, she wasn't aware that there were detection spells for the Bogey men.

Orihime would like to tell Catty that there definitely are detection spells! How else are you supposed to know if there's a scary monster in your closet?
Re: Sixth Yearhalcyon_himeFebruary 24 2010, 19:18:12 UTC
There is a four in ten chance that, at once time or another, there has been a Bogeyman in your closet! However, they usually don't stay too long if the closet or area is kept clean.
Orihime looks so proud of herself at knowing this. :3

... Catty isn't really sure what to think of this. But Orihime is too cute, so she laughs and thanks Orihime for informing her of this. Guess she's just gonna have to keep her closet area clean from now on.

Teresa brings a miniature Venomous Sphinx into class and makes each student go through the riddle process with it.
Those that get swiped by its claws must demonstrate knowledge of how to treat the poison before they are allowed to go to the Hospital Wing for said treatment.

Jaina raises an eyebrow at Galatea and mutters that someone might as well do it. She goes first. She gets it right, thankfully, since her healing skills are shit.

McCoy thinks it's ridiculous and unsafe to delay someone going to the infirmary. To prove his point, he goes and intentionally answers the Sphinx's question wrong. He states VERY LOUDLY AND WITH CLEAR DICTION SO ANYONE CAN UNDERSTAND AND HEAR how to treat the poison.
Re: Seventh Yearmylife_foryoursFebruary 22 2010, 19:32:00 UTC
Jean is surprised by McCoy's audacity to say the antidote for the poison. She wonders if a.) some of their peers were paying attention and b.) how their professor will react to this.

Teresa will largely ignore all of these reports.

Vaguely wonders if Orihime would make a good cheerleader. Not that cheerleader's are a high priority, but it might help motivate the team.
