Sophie found her way to a shop, a heavy winter cloak was wrapped tight around her but she was still shivering from the cold. After moving further into the welcome warmth, she finally took a moment to glance at her surroundings. The spindles hanging from the ceiling and the contraptions lined the walls and filled the selves made it obvious where she had wandered. At least she was fond of Dervish & Banges ( ... )

This was the perfect place to gather up new workers, or new clients. A perfect place to show off black market merchandise, a perfect place to hear about rival gangs, a perfect place for the son of the esteemed Kasanoda yakuza line to do his business.

Too bad he wasn't doing any of these things, or anything close to illegal. n fact, secluded in his own corner, he was reading Shigure Souma's Summer-Colored-Sigh with great fervor, trying learn how to woo and court a woman. Despite being warned by Yuki Souma not do this, but alas, the redhead was just that desperate. He didn't pay attention to his drink being served, too focused on reading and rereading the chapter he was on, trying to memorize every single word there. Tough if anyone tried to come up to him, he'd deny what he was doing... though he'd probably fail to come up with an excuse, and just be plain moritifed.

Minako always got lost on these stupid trips. It wasn't like she didn't know directions, it was just that being back in this...world threw her off. For a girl who spent her summers in the so-called "Muggle" world, being back among wizards was always jarring.

She'd gotten separated from the gaggle of other sixth-year girls, and wandered into this seedy little place, mumbling about creeps and wrong turns. It was then that she noticed the boy -- a student, and a redhead. She'd at first thought it was Renji or Reno, but...Minako snuck behind the boy and peeked over his shoulder. What was he reading? More importantly, what was his name? Kanadagi? Casanova?

"Kasanado!" Minako poked him in the shoulder, the epitome of good cheer. "Hey, what's that you're reading? It looks romantic~"

A sudden ROAR of surprise came from the boy, which while to others might sound like one of sheer anger, was actually a result of sheer terror. He'd come to this place because he didn't think any of the other students would be there, and now his worst fears had been realized. And by an incredibly pretty girl, no less. Desperate to save whatever shreds of his dignity were left, he shoved the book right inside his jacket, and closing the jacket so tightly one might thought it could rip at any second. The mortification on his face was clear as day - his cheeks were almost as red as his hair.

Maybe he could lie his way out of this.

"I WASN'T READING ANYTHING!"

... Maybe he could excuse his way out of this.

"IT'S FOR HOMEWORK!"

... Maybe he was just an idiot.

"NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS!"

Minako couldn't help but shrink back at the scream, but part of being a Gryffindor was being brave, and she held her ground. Not running away did help in noticing he was blushing as well.

So instead of freaking out, Minako poked him in the chest. "Hey!" She put her hands on her hips and frowned at him. "That's no way to talk to a girl, you know!" The moment of anger passed shortly thereafter, like the sun peeking through clouds. Her expression turned devious. "Homework, hm~? That doesn't look like any kind of homework I've ever seen." She glanced around for a moment before turning back to him.

"Why are you in a creepy place like this anyway?"

This was a trip he always looked forward to. It meant being able to relax and enjoy himself, and gave him a small break from his studies. It also meant he could stock up on treats. You see, Michael had a sweet tooth. Which was probably evident by the small armful of chocolates, cakes, and other assorted candies he held in his arms. Candies that he couldn't wait to sit down and eat. He'd save some for later, but he needed to sate his craving first.

Silently, he counted the things he had, making note of what things he'd eat now, and what he would be saving for later. Then he paid for his things and turned to leave, a happy smile stuck on his face as he unwrapped the first of his chocolate frogs.

Ty Lee gave a contemplative pout as she stared at the candy in front of her. None of these seemed very good- the Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans were alright to eat, but she always felt really weirded out by biting into them, and the lemon drops were much too sour. Her pout morphed into a frown, and she absently shifted her weight.

Ty Lee was resting her body on the flat expanse of her forearms, her legs bending backwards over her head while her feet absently shuffled the candies on the shelves above her head so she could read the labels.

"No, those aren't very good-" Ty Lee paused, using her big toe to scratch her head before she heard someone pay for candy. She turned, eyes widening in joy as she saw what the boy was holding.

"I love chocolate frogs!"

Kururu grabbed a handful of sugar quills, she figured she should get some for her fellow Hufflepuffs after a...certain event. It left some of the people feeling down after all. As the girl held them in her hands she counted them careful. Oh! A small frown. She had forgotten a great deal of the quills.

Well that was nothing to worry about all Kururu had to do was go get a few extra more. Upon supplying herself with more she finally held her head up and her gaze fell on the boy and the brown haired girl, and the chocolate frogs.

"Maybe I should get some of those too...?"

[ooc: I'm taking the inititative, hope that's okay]

Luxord had pulled together a few tables towards the back, along with some chairs, and had placed the first order for the evening. He told the barmaid to be expecting the other staff, but that he would recommend waiting before bringing their orders. After all, Luxord wasn't completely sure how strong of a drink his fellow colleagues would want this evening.

It had been another long and strange week at Hogwarts, to say the least. Luxord was glad to be back to his proper age and was trying hard to forget the little troll he had been back when he was a young teenager. Hopefully, in due time, this would all be forgotten, like most events at Hogwarts. Luxord sighed, watching the door for anyone he recognized and hoped that the evening would improve.

Grell shivered a little and shook a bit at the cold. His lips were getting chapped. A lady had to keep her appearances socialable. He had heard of a Staff Party and thus went towards the appropriate place first, slinking past the crowds and towards the other staff.

His long messy red hair was somehow tied up into a black ribbon, so it bunched and curled around his head like a giant fawn down his shoulders. He spied Luxie, grinning from ear to ear at how cute and yet annoyingly cute, he had been last week.

Shalice walked into the Three Broomsticks, pulling her winter cloak tighter around herself as she did so. It was cold. A shot of Firewhiskey would warm her right up, she thought, heading toward the table she saw Luxord had claimed.

"Hey," she said, sitting down and sighing heavily. "How's... things." Her tone was glum, but it had nothing to do with the company and everything to do with the (several) painful reminders she'd had over the week of what a pretentious little moron she'd been as a teenager. It wasn't something she'd ever wanted to think about again, much less re-live.

Hopefully no one would tease her about it too much over the course of the evening.

Hatori had forgotten how crowded these Hogsmeade weekends could be. He was careful to dodge groups of questionable genders. Transforming in this weather was sure to be... The biggest disaster he could think of, but after last week...

Besides, a little staff get-together couldn't be too damaging.

Not anymore so than drinking with his cousins.

"Hello." He sat down at the table, nodding at the professors, trying to not stare at Grell (because he hadn't quite managed to forget that incident either). "Everyone has been managing well?"

Although he would have preferred to stay back in the dorms and read, Orochimaru was a growing boy, and found that he'd outgrown some of his winter clothing from the previous year. Between his deceased relatives leaving money to him and his maternal grandparents being well off, he'd be able to afford good quality winter clothing. Orochimaru was the opposite of cheerful and optimistic, but he could still appreciate small blessings. The chance to get things that would fit more comfortably and keep him warm was one of those small blessings. Orochimaru hated the cold.

He sorted through the boys' robes, partially hoping for service and partially hoping that the sales staff would leave him alone and let him browse.

His voice came off rather feminine, almost like a purr cat, sultry and low for a males. "Oh my. You've certainly grown, haven't you?" While Grell was the last person that could probably help a male dress, he also knew how to properly impress himself.

He hardly had any interaction with the students anyways. It was about time to start slipping in.

For a moment, Orochimaru wasn't certain whether or not the professor was male - he wasn't in Professor Sutcliffe's class, after all. He thought he was, and was mostly sure of it, but most people would be very offended if a mistake of that sort was made, so he opted for an appropriately neutral and non-specific response until he had the chance to confirm for certain.

"Yes, Professor," he replied politely. "Most of my winter clothing doesn't fit properly anymore."

His boots in particular - he'd actually worn shoes instead of proper winter footwear because he couldn't get his feet into his boots from the previous year even remotely comfortably. His feet had undergone the most dramatic growth spurt lately, although he'd gotten taller in the past few months, too.

Such soft skin, porcelin in feature. He was more interested in it merely due to the condition. Even he couldn't get his skin looking as soft, and he pampered himself almost every night in getting it as beautiful as it could be.

"Hmm, hmm. What a shame? Do you perhaps need assitance? I would be more than happy to help."

Usually at this point, he'd make some lude remark, but kids just weren't his type, nor was Orochimaru built handsomely well. Though kids, he liked kids. He so wanted one of his own.
