Hogsmeade Excursion

Jan 25, 2010 00:18

Name(s): OPEN TO ALL!
Location: Hogmeade; various.
Week: 50
Time: Saturday. (Feel free to start logging whenever.)
Rating: Just keep it below R, people. Remember it is a shared log.

Right through the week it had been cold, and the day of the Hogsmeade trip was no exception! Wind billowed and gusted, whipping around and scattering snow. Not so strong as to be unpleasant, thankfully, but enough to make the welcoming warmth of Hogsmeade's establishments and even more welcome relief. Students would do well to remember the Headmaster's recommendation to wrap up warm.

Remember! Hogsmeade trips are only available for Third Year and up -- officially. You are welcome to throw in younger students, but if they get caught by a professor or found out, they could have to face the consequences! Stealth may be necessary.

Please start individual threads, noting in the subject location & whether it is open or closed. For your convenience, here is a list of some of the establishments that can be found in Hogsmeade:

Dervish & Banges; a shop that sells and repairs magical equipment.

Gladrags Wizardwear; a wonderful chain of stops for all your fashion needs.

High Street; where most of the shops are located! The cobblestones are currently under a thick layer of snow.

Hogsmeade Station; local train station, where students come from Kings Cross. Not in Hogsmeade proper. (Don't try to run away, students.)

Honeydukes Sweetshop; one of the most famous sweet shops in the world, here for your sugar driven convenience! The list of delicious wizarding wonders they sell will boggle the mind!

Madam Puddifoot's; Small teashop off the main street, especially popular with couples on dates.

Post Office; to send things! Though there is the owlery at Hogwarts, maybe you just don't like climbing all those stairs.

Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop; for a range of stationary, this is a one-stop shop to fulfill all your needs! Quills, ink, parchments, envelopes & seals are just a few of the items you will find.

Shrieking Shack; rumoured to be the most haunted building in Great Britain, the Shrieking Shack is not in Hogsmeade itself.

The Hogs Head; A pub famous for unusual clientele, a thick layer of filth and a violent sign above the door, professors and students are discouraged from visiting The Hogs Head and getting acquainted with its unsavoury reputation.

The Three Broomsticks; a wonderful pub with rooms and board available, the Three Broomsticks is famed for great drinks, a friendly atmosphere and beautiful barmaids excellent service!

Zonko's Joke Shop; jokes and tricks to make your dreams of wildest prankery come true! Dungbombs, Hiccup Sweets and Frogspawn Soap are just the beginning.

Logs are not limited to these establishments! Have fun and kick back after a week of excessive children!
