And cousin comes home...

Ok, so I spent almost a week in the hospital...and what makes me laugh, is the reason as to WHY i was in there to begin with. Once the idea of having a blood clot was ruled out, they began thinking I was bitten by something. Now since I got in there, I was telling people that I was hit by a hard hit softball almost a month ago right around the ( Read more... )

Haha, matter of fact, some of my teammates came to visit me the other night. They came in with a ball signed by the team, and a print out on "How to Field a Ground ball." So when the smartass offered me that, I offered him a filled urinal full of nutrients!

Oh I'll play softball again...habeeb it!

It's "antibiotics" and "percs" as in "Percocets".

Um, how bad did the infected area look?? Just curious, recently got bitten by a bug in the leg and I had it drained while wide awake at the walk-in clinic. The stingy bitch forked over 9 percs and told me that it wouldn't hurt anymore after the lancing. Yeah, right... could barely walk for 3 days. :(

You said you had other complications too, right? All because of the infection?

Oh I'm sure I misspelled a few things. Glad i have you to be my spell checker, Pierre. ;)

My infected area spread out to the point where it began to wrap around my entire calf. But once i got the stuff drained, the antibiotics did their job and kicked it correctly.

I had shortness of breath, a bad headache, a shooting pain in my right thigh, and a bad fever. the only thing i can say to tie those in with my bump in my leg is that the bump must have burst inside my leg. It' the only way i can see these things tie together.

Yeah, it was a bit of a similar situation - except I went to get it drained at Med-Now a week after I noticed the infection. Now that I read your story, I'm glad I went to get it looked at before I could've had other complications.

The lanced area is still raised and red, but I think most of the pus is gone. I'm taking an antibiotic with sulfur in it 2x/day.

From what I heard, there's a guy that goes to the breakfast place I frequent, that gets really bad celulitis and his skin cracks from all the infection. As long as you take your antibiotic daily, the infection should get less red, become much cooler to the touch and you should be good in no time.

Mine is in a similar shape. Just waiting from the word from my doctor come Monday if i can resume work and continue softball anytime soon.

Take care of yourself, bro.
