And cousin comes home...
Ok, so I spent almost a week in the hospital...and what makes me laugh, is the reason as to WHY i was in there to begin with. Once the idea of having a blood clot was ruled out, they began thinking I was bitten by something. Now since I got in there, I was telling people that I was hit by a hard hit softball almost a month ago right around the spot where the infection looked the worst.
They didn't want to hear any of it.
So for most of my stay, they were under the impression that I had cellulitis due to a bug bite, scratch, hump, whatever. Finally on Tuesday, they got results from an ultrasound they did on my leg that I did have some kind of fluid in my leg right around the spot where I got hit. So with the aid of yet another ultrasound, they took a needle and tried to get a sample of the fluid inside. Now, if it was a clear liquid, I'd have had to go back upstairs and continued with my anti-biodics...but however, that wasn't the case. The doctor pulled out a good amount of pus from it which ment Danny boy is headin straight to the OR to have it cleaned out. So at about ten of 1, they brought me in and doped me up. So im talking to the surgeon and what not..then next thing you know...ZZZZzzz. Woke up and it was 1:20 and they were already finished.
So here it is Thursday, and im in my room with two drains in my leg to drain out any further crap that may leak out, when the surgeon comes back in. He then tells me the words ive been dying to hear "you can go home now".

So once given my precriptions for Perks, antibiodics, and arrangements for my nurse visits for the next few days, I was kicked in the ass right out the front door. Now here I sit in my living room with Wilson playing Resident Evil 4, I'm all propped up just waiting for the pharmacy to finish with my meds and ill be doped up all weekend long.
Btw Mandy, I practice common sense now. If I could find the time to pencil in knee surgury, I will. But for now, my life can continue on once more and ill be back to playing softball in no time....yet sadly, I get to miss out on four games this week.
Leaving for Otakon this coming Thursday...so nothing as far as that goes is changed. The vacation will still be on and everything is going to be awesome.
