Iowa caucus
Surprising results at the Iowa caucus yesterday! At least, they were suprising to me, but I haven't been following the primary campaigns closely, as I'm an independent. Winter weather
Winter officially began two weeks ago, but I didn't believe it until today. It's 19 degrees outside, and despite the top-line boiler we have in my building, I've had to blow on my hands a few times to warm them up. It even snowed a little this morning. I stayed a little late tonight to finish up some work, and around six, my friends imatart and Mad-Eye Lover came into my office bearing gifts. Cable Internet Rocks!
Why did I wait so long to get cable Internet? It's fantastic! The pages load so fast, even with pics. After using dial-up for the last seven years, it's like I'm in a whole new world. Must resist urge to spend all afternoon online... -
Good things
My landlord has agreed to take my deposit in lieu of the March rent. I now understand the advantages of dating a lawyer; if Egermont hadn't advised me about my response, I'm sure I'd have been the one who caved. I also learned that I could never be a lawyer myself.
