The one problem with having a life is that I have tons of stuff to blog about, but no time to write. And I'm meeting Egermont for dinner tonight, so this has to be a quick post. Some of the highlights of my week:

My neighborhood has a message board, and the regulars sometimes meet up at bars in the area. bradamant told me about this last year, but I'm a little slow to act on even the best advice. However, last week I finally went to happy hour, and had a great time. I'm really looking forward to the next one. Thanks, bradamant!

My apartment is still somewhat disorganized, but I made a major advance this weekend by unpacking my books. It makes a huge difference; I didn't realize how much I need to have books around me in order to feel at home.

On Saturday night Egermont and I went to a draw-a-thon in D.U.M.B.O. (For the uninitiated: It stands for Down Under the Manhattan/Brooklyn Overpass. I didn't know either.) It was a neat event; the organizers hired models to pose all day Friday and Saturday, and artists came just to draw them. They also had bands and DJs playing to add to the creative vibe; we went to hear the Hungry March Band perform. We did take sketchpads, though, and while I can't say my sketches were great, I enjoyed drawing the models. I haven't drawn anything since I was about fourteen, so it was challenging and fun.

What I really need is a blog-a-thon. But would it be as much fun without nude models?
