Jeeesus, I'm so frickin' tired. It's way past this government employee's bedtime. I'm printing pics of my paintings to turn in tomorrow (yes, due tomorrow) to try to get my paintings hung in an art show in a local library. (No butt paintings though--sorry if the userpic got you excited.)

I like the closed quality of the standing figure. As you say it would be better in person. Good luck getting the show.

Thanks. When I turned my folder of materials in, the woman receiving it was very welcoming, and said, "We're meeting about this next week...looks good. I'm sure you'll be accepted." I was really floored and pleased, and thanked her. It's a local library, but it gets a lot of people coming through, as it is the central library in a really cool, relatively wealthy area (so maybe someone will buy something?).

The overall placement of the body, the crossed arms, tilt of the head give
me the sense of someone not avalable or knowable though attractive from a painterly standpoint.
