I find it fascinating that Marion exalts the forced kiss between Kirk and Uhura in "Plato's Stepchildren" over S/U in the AU, referring to the latter as "as awkward as two kids in high school". She ignores tenderness in many cases, and fully-clothed hotness, favoring scenes with skin. Granted, S/U haven't had any "hot" moments in either film, because she was comforting him, then they were supporting each other before Spock and Kirk's mission to the Narada, and in STiD they had differences, OMG

(i'll refrain from commenting the bias of that person making the article. Just the fact that they didn't include any scene with Spock and the only Kirk moment they mention is the forced kiss with Uhura should give you a clue..)

I like Kirk and Uhura but that example is horrible. They were experiencing a form of mind rape. There was no pleasure there.
I didn't like the #1. I think were better examples featuring that couple.
I liked Worf and Jadzia Dax, Janeway and that guy and a few others.
They could have had Spock/Zarabeth, Spock/Romulan Commander (hand porn), Spock/Uhura (Transporter Room kiss -- something to come back to)...
