After a rather long browsing session through the remnants of peoples houses at the Rebuilding Center in search for the perfect chicken coop materials (some future journal entry), I happened upon a store that sells salt. It seems my seedlings this year have all been assaulted by blight. I suspect it came from the seed starting mix I used-Plantation Seed Starting Mix. It is a soil borne pathogen, a white fluffy fungus that looks a bit like cotton candy. It is called "Sclerotinia" and apparently there is nothing I can do about it. Today is Beer and Cheese day in my kitchen... not eating, Making! I just scored some raw milk and I'm feeling pretty happy about it.
