Showered and changed into pajamas, Ema emerged from the bathroom while towel-drying her hair. She felt calmer. 'It's amazing what some food and a shower can do...' Ema didn't feel completely at ease. It was impossible to, in this place, but at least she was calm enough to pass for normal.

Ema gave her hair a few more rubs of the towel, then hung the towel on the door knob to the bathroom. She padded to the couch and pulled a comb out of one of the bags. Noticing her sister, she smiled. It was instinctive, really. "Any luck on the door?"

"No, not yet." Lana glanced over to her sister, managing a smile in return. It had been years since she actually got a chance to be close to Ema again, and now with her trial all over with it was like she had the chance.

Overlooking the fact that she should be in jail and that they were in a very creepy place, anyway.

Deciding to skip on telling Ema the part about the chain looking like it was cut, Lana glanced around the dark room. "It'll take too long to try to fix it with no tools. I think it'd be easier if we just shoved something in front of it to keep it closed."

Lana was smiling. Given, it wasn't the most earnest of smiles (and Ema didn't expect one, really, given the circumstances), but it was a massive improvement over the caustic treatment she'd received for the two years following SL-9.

The Lana she loved was back. They were sisters again.

Ema nodded a little in agreement. Some security was better than nothing. "What we can do is wedge a pole or something in, something like this..." She walked over to the door and spread out her arms to demonstrate, touching a hand to the door and to the wall diagonal from it. "This way, if we need out in a hurry, all we need to do is remove the pole." It wasn't a complicated idea, nor was it the most secure, but it seemed better than blocking their only exit.

Lana nodded her head, amused by how excited Ema was at the idea. "Alright! So, we just need to find a pole of some kind.." By 'we', of course, she meant 'her', as Lana walked into the bedroom to peek into the closets.

She was gone for a few moments before her voice was heard from the bedroom. "Ah.. here we go." She emerged with a broom, a rather ratty one, but it was a broom. Moving to stand by the door, she considered it a moment, before glancing over to Ema.

"Could you help me with this?" It was, after all, her idea.
