Riku shifted on his side, wishing his mind would just be still so he could sleep. But the shadows in his room taunted him, keeping him from trusting shut eyes. Something about that night had felt different. Maybe the ocean breeze was cooler than before. But Riku felt uneasy and his thoughts flashed dark memories ( ... )

Having had nearly all of his attention focused solely on the church before him at that point, and on what he figured was the movement of people (or...he hoped they were people) behind the stained glass windows, Lyserg hadn't even heard the stranger approach. Thusly, when a fairly loud voice broke the dull hum of silence, the Londoner jumped practically a foot, hand reaching up to his mouth in order to stifle any surprised squeaks.

His wide orbs turned towards its' source instantly in a mixture of curiosity and 'why did you just practically yell at me!'. "E-eh?" Squinting slightly in an attempt to see through the darkness, he picked up...silvery-looking hair? Despite the all-too-familiar hair colour, the figure was distinctly male. Not who he was looking for then...

"I'm Lyserg..." In comparison to the stranger, his own voice sounded almost too soft, too quiet. Curiosity reflected in his expression. "And you would be...?" Someone else unexpectedly dragged here as well, by the looks of it.

The figure turned and spoke back with a much less abrasive voice. Lyserg? The name was odd, but then again he was becoming used to peculiar names. Riku’s eyes were adjusting to the dark and he could see the young man’s figure.

His voice did not hold the same volume as before yet the chill in his voice remained as a barrier. “Can you tell me where I am?” The surrounding area and the malevolent church looming above them were very unfamiliar sights. He hoped the other would have some useful information. All he needed was to find a way back to the island. Whether it was traveling though dark gates or finding a gummi ship.

"...Unfortunately, I can't. I just got here myself, pretty literally." His brow furrowed faintly towards the other male, obviously noting he was not there to make friendly small-talk, especially judging on his tone alone. Of course, in any normal circumstance he would probably be doing the same thing; looking for information, for a way out. Any way out. His eyes darted up towards the church casting the both of them in its' shadow, nose wrinkling slightly. Definitely not like the churches back home.

But then he returned his attention to the other newcomer, the ever-present curiosity sparking in his eyes. "Ara, then I take it you've just gotten here too, then?" Pausing for a moment as if considering which question would be the best to ask, he finally piped up with; "Are you from Japan, too?"

"Ah, that would...probably be a smart idea...as long as we can come back to this church tomorrow." Mentally scolding himself for not having thought of that in the first place, he took a few steps back from the church and into the street that was barren of any and all sorts of vehicles. Or people, for that matter. The lack of people was still an eery factor, unquestionably. He had half a mind to ask where Riku came from as well, but figured that the elder male would just be aggravated by further curiosity on his part.

Nodding in agreement to the plans Riku had set out, he cast a last glance towards the church before facing the direction that looked slightly less dreary and dimly lit. "Shall we try this way then? I can see better in this direction," he stated, though not really waiting for the other to say yay or nay to his plan. So he began to trundle on his merry way in the general direction he had gestured to, hoping beyond hope that there would be some sort of place to stay. Sleeping on the streets, despite their abandoned ( ... )

The boy's suggestion had merit. It was one of the few paths with out a dark fog slithering around crumbling buildings. And the light might lead to some place with people who obviously were spending the night there. He followed Lyserg's lead while carefully listening for any hints that someone might be near. But the boy with green hair suddenly came to a stop that made Riku jolt with adrenaline. He summoned a large weapon to his hand, ready to attack. But there were no sounds and he couldn't see any one.
"What is it?!" His eyes darted fearing he had missed something.

"I...u-um..." To be quite frank, even in his panicked state, Lyserg knew better than to go off on a rant about missing spirits and things of that nature. He still knew next to nothing about the stranger who'd seemingly summoned a weapon from nowhere, and certainly didn't want him thinking that he was one brick shy of a load mentally speaking. Thinking on his feet, a semi-difficult task due to his currently flustered state, he finally replied with a; "I just...ah, remembered something I left...back home..."

His hand raised to his forehead momentarily, though whether it was to supress an oncoming headache or to facepalm, not even he was sure. It had just gotten at least twice as important to find his way back home again. "Sorry about that..." Raising his gaze, he warily eyed the weapon in Riku's hand. "Where'd that come from...?"

Riku's shoulders suddenly laxed as Lyserg admitted he just was recalling something. He let out a sigh that was a mix of relief and slight aggrivation. "Just don't stop like that next time." Though the boy could be panicking over something very small, Lyserg's reaction was pretty severe if it was just a trivial item. It must have been something important. "Well, let's worry about that when we find a place to stay."
Lyserg commented on the large wing-shape blade in his hand. "This? It's my keyblade," giving the weapon a glance. He made it vanish since there was no reason to carry it at the moment. Especiall as he looked up at the large buildings before them. There were many windows and it was a couple stories high. There were several of the identical tenements before them with a few dim lighted windows scattered down teh street. "So what about this place?"
