We had to walk away from the house we put a contract on. After the inspection it became apparent that there were too many problems for us to deal with. Extensive mold in the basement, leeky pipes, a furnace that didn't turn on and electrical outlets that needed to be rewired or replaced. Alanis Morissette's song "Ironic" has been pegged by many as not being ironic at all as all the examples she gives are merely situational coincidences. This of course led to people saying that the song may be ironic because although she says it is ironic it is in fact not ironic which is verbal irony or sarcasm ( Read more... ) -

Sam and I put a bid in on a house last week. It had only been on the market for two days but three business days later we found out there had been 6 bids on it already. Went to the Society of Nuclear Medicine meeting this weekend. It was and interesting experience. Listened to a lot of lectures and had some really good food. Also got yelled at the second morning of the meeting because I took a doughnut from the wrong area, it was the area for the hotel guests not the convention guests. Snowmageden
The last few weeks have been eventful at times, if very boring for longer times. Sam was sick for almost a week and a half with a cold that wouldn't quit. As soon as she started getting better we had 3 feet of snow drop down on us and were out of work for a week. Cancun!
Sam and I are back from Cancun and back to the old grind, I am even at work today as I was asked to work by my mom when I called her on vacation. These days I don't dislike work as much since the money is so nice to have, I don't even complain ( Read more... ) -
Snowy weekend
Sam and I stayed in all weekend because of the snow. I managed to finish my treadmill desk made out of PVC pipe and foam board. I was very excited. Now I can play magic online and walk on the treadmill. It works well because I refuse to get off until I finish my game and sometimes it can take a while ( Read more... ) -
